The paying gig is very well deserved, and I'm glad an archive of this site will be maintained.

I look forward to keenly following your thoughts on the new blog. You're my favourite blogger and I hope you'll get a specific RSS feed so I can track when you're writing.

If you have any influence, will you ask them to enable anonymous comments on the new blog? I understand that the site might receive junk comments, but for me it's too much of a hassle - another sign-in, another password, giving yet more people access to my personal information - and I think the bloggers at the site will miss out on spontaneous thoughts that may be contributed by someone drawn to the site for the first time.

All the best.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-61981600369711947432008-11-05T17:24:00.000-05:002008-11-05T17:24:00.000-05:00Robert, good for you! I have always enjoyed your hard work and dedication to sharing your wonderful stories of the most famous sports team on this planet.
I started last year on your blog and I look forward to it everyday what wonderful stories you have to share Robert whether it be the story of our beloved Habs or stories of your daughter's hockey team to stories of yourself when you were in a movie for example (what was that skit you were in that you shared with us on youtube?).
I really hope to meet you one day Robert and share a drink or two as well, we are almost the same in age as well my friend and I would love to share my Habs stories with you will find amusing as well.
But if you are ever in Hamilton, you are welcome to stay anytime at my place and I hope you do come and I will treat you to a Hamilton Bulldogs game as well Robert!
Respect my friend!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-49603324423040437012008-11-04T19:29:00.000-05:002008-11-04T19:29:00.000-05:00I've been soaking up your coverage of nos habitant...I've been soaking up your coverage of nos habitants for two seasons now, though I wish I had come across you before. I am English to all intents and purposes, but my father lived in Montreal until the mid fifties (I like to think my blood runs red, white and blue!), so whereas most people live and breathe for the likes of Big George's other club, I sometimes think I may possibly be unique over here for my utter devotion to the Canadiens!

Considering the time difference and limited media availabilty on offer to us over here it isn't as easy as rolling down St. Laurent to 'Champs'. Anyone as mad as me has to make do with sitting awake till three in the morning clinging to the edge of the sofa strangely transfixed to the tinny commentaries spun from CJAD... Having to go to bed immediately afterwards it really is make or break whether or not I wake up with a kick in my step !

As someone who can only watch ten or so games a season, my opinion on who's had a good game, who's slacked off or who's developing into a solid member of the team outside of the stats, is largely down to your articles. For this I am truly grateful, and you can also take credit in helping me to confound most Canadians I meet with my hockey/Habs chat !!

I find the NHL.com coverage very generic. I like to compare what the other teams are saying about us, and their view of the game before and after the match, but it's all the same on the NHL site, and they all share the same format too, which might make sense behind the scenes I suppose, but it lacks personality and real fan passion, unless of course you're a Ducks fan !!

I think this new site sounds great, and I am sure Mr Mirtle didn't need his Timmins equivalant to know he landed the top of the draft !!

Cheers Robert, I'll miss Habsworld in name, but I am looking forward to catching you up chez Mirtle !HabsGBhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16921367394951819181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-48917273864830296902008-11-04T18:38:00.000-05:002008-11-04T18:38:00.000-05:00Congrats!~ moemanCongrats!

~ moemanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-21826860765827710152008-11-04T17:25:00.000-05:002008-11-04T17:25:00.000-05:00Robert:As a faithful reader, (I stumbled upon your...Robert:

As a faithful reader, (I stumbled upon your blog about a year and a half ago through HW).
