Calling them would have wrecked the game. Not calling them, in another way, did mess with the game. It's a no win situation once officials lose their grip on a game.<br /><br />I added my above quote to bring back that my piece was written in anger - almost. I was too upset to even begin to point to a solution.<br /><br />You are right, I believe, when you speak of subjective standards, and I think it starts there and goes deeper.<br /><br />This post / rant just fingers what happen when games get out of control for referees. The 1st period mess ups almost come back to haunt. <br /><br />I don't claim to have the solution to all officiating ills but I do have a few ideas that are quite revolutionary in their scope of how to eliminate errors as much as possible.<br /><br />In an upcoming post (soon I hope) I'm going to lay out my ideas, with pro's and cons.<br /><br />It's just too big to get into here.<br /><br />Stay tuned.
