I too would like to see him used where he could contribute best. Unfortunately, as carbo had much success employing him the way he did, I fear the double duty awaits him again. Playing point on the PP for Streit in a no brainer in my eyes.Robert Lhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16631806704699552307noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-83129401144552814622007-08-10T20:28:00.000-04:002007-08-10T20:28:00.000-04:00I completely agree about Streit. But he wants to play against the best, if only to prove himself.

I think the first half of his first season was pretty rough, and he looked a little lost. But then came the Olympics, and he led that improbable Swiss charge. When he came back he was a different player, skating and defending with confidence.

I hope to see him have more ice time on D this year, maybe with Hamrlik on the second pairing, and maybe even QB the first PP unit alongside Markov. The Habs have enough third and fourth liners -- let's see Streit play D.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-27527597321813680722007-08-09T17:02:00.000-04:002007-08-09T17:02:00.000-04:00Beatiful Post...I realy like your Site, all the po...Beatiful Post...

I realy like your Site, all the posts are written with Passion and that's what I like...

It's great that Mark Streit finally get's the recognition he deserves! Back in Juniorranks, even Swiss Coaches and Scouts didn't see the Talent that Streit had. Starting with the Power House SC Bern, they didn't felt like he was Swiss League-Material and was sendet to the lowerly HC Fribourg Gotteron were he started his good Career.
But his breakthrough came when he played in Davos under the longest serving Coach in Switzerland, Arno Del Curto. Del Curto kind of an electric guy like Mike Keenan brought the best out of Streit.
For Switzerland it's great that finally we're on the Ice Hockey-Map in North America!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31438400.post-86821492705517102562007-08-07T20:14:00.000-04:002007-08-07T20:14:00.000-04:00great site! I used your research from your last post in a arguement against a DET fan about how Gainey is making bad moves. The Steit post also was good because I never knew of roberts (I'm 25) so its always good to here about player like that... But to the more important issue at hand, RDS is the greatest chennel ever, I'm currently abroad and was about to spend $300 to get a device to broadcast games over the internet form my home to my laptop, but no need now. RDS is not only going HD but global as well, webcasting all the habs games!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
