Check out the move by Matt Lashoff of the Providence Bruins at the AHL All-Star Game yesterday, in the skills competition. It's very reminiscent of Marek Malik's shootout winner with the Rangers last season - only better. This little slip move might just be the deke/fake of the future.
Lashoff is a Boston first round pick, 22nd overall in 2005, and played in 12 games with the big team earlier this year.
Here are the Malik and Robbie Schremp goals from YouTube. Thanks to Julian for pointing out the similarities.

As an oilers fan, i feel compelled to point out that Rob Schremp already did this one back in Sept in a charity shootout at a preseason game.
Right near the end, the second one he does.

I always assumed that Schremp's was a Lacrosse style scoop goal if I remember well. I'll search that You Tube link and add the Malik as well for all to compare and and have fun with. Thanks.
Yeah, in the second goal there he goes behind both legs as he cuts across the crease.
Pretty sure i'd dislocate both shoulders if i tried that. And fall on my arse.
I had a ball hockey move I used to practice lots, way back when, where I'd squeeze the ball between my feet and jump. As the ball was rising and I landed on my feet, I'd bat the thing top shelf!
If ever I see that in a shootout - I'll shit a train!
Pretty sweet goal. Maybe we have been using in the wrong position.
