Habs For Breakfast - 2008-03-13

First the Habs had to tackle Jersey to climb back into first overall in the conference, now they have to full it off against Ottawa tonight.

My prediction?

If Montreal scores the first goal, the game is theirs!

Here's the links for today. For the benefit of the English only readers, I'll relate the funny Carey Price anecdote, recounted by Josh Gorges.

Last week, during the game against the Coyotes, the Habs were pinned in their end for a good stretch. During a commercial break, the players were over at the bench taking a breather when Price says, "Hey guys, why don't we go play in their end for awhile!"

Maxim Lapierre was being interviewed on the subject of Price after practice yesterday. Max knows full well, from having Price as a team mate in Hamilton last season when they won the Calder Cup, what effects stress and pressure have on him.

Price was but a few feet away, completely oblivious to comments, as Max spoke to reporters. The goalie was quietly getting undressed, his thoughts elsewhere.

Lapierre motioned the reporter to glance over at Price, who never looked up.

"There, that's about as stressed as he gets!"
